This Privacy Notice explains how Twenty One Collective Ltd (trading as "The Bitcoin Collective") ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses personal data when you:

  • subscribe to updates or the BBN member briefing

  • buy event tickets

  • apply for or join the Bitcoin Business Network ("BBN")

  • contact us

  • or otherwise interact with us

The Bitcoin Business Network is operated by Twenty One Collective Ltd. The Website at joinbbn.com is the home of BBN.

Everything we publish on the Website and provide through BBN, including content, briefings, resources, introductions and communications, is for information and education purposes only. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice and should not be relied on as such. You are responsible for your own decisions and should seek advice from a suitably qualified professional before making financial or business decisions. 2) What data we collect

2.1 Data you provide to us

  • Enquiries: name, email address, and the content of your message.

  • Updates and member briefing: email address (and name if you provide it).

  • Events: name, email, ticket selections, and purchase or admin details.

  • Dietary and accessibility (optional): if you provide dietary requirements or accessibility needs for an event.

  • Business enquiries (B2B): name, company, role, email or phone (if provided), and enquiry details.

  • BBN applications and membership: name, business name, role, email, and any other details you submit in the application form; membership admin data needed to run the service (including membership status and billing or admin details). For Corporate memberships, this includes the details of each named seat holder.

  • BBN directory (opt-in): if you choose to be listed, the profile information you choose to share (for example business name, website, sector, contact name, and any other fields you submit).

  • Perks and discount access: the minimum information required to verify membership eligibility and deliver access (for example, to generate or provide an access code).

2.2 Data we collect automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser or device type, pages visited, time on page, and similar diagnostic or log data.

  • Cookies: essential cookies and (with consent) analytics or embedded-media cookies. See Section 10.

2.3 Data from third parties

  • Ticketing and payments: partners may send us order details and payment confirmations to fulfil purchases.

  • Email and briefing platform: subscription and engagement data (for example delivery, open and click events).

  • Analytics: aggregated insights about site usage.

  • Payment processors: limited transaction information and confirmations (we do not receive full card details).

3) How we use your data (purposes and lawful bases)

We only use your data where we have a lawful basis under UK GDPR.

  • Responding to enquiries: Legitimate interests (to respond and provide support).

  • Sending updates and briefings you opt into: Consent (you can unsubscribe at any time).

  • Selling and managing event tickets: Contract (to provide the tickets) and Legal obligation (tax and accounting).

  • Dietary and accessibility needs (if provided): Explicit consent (optional; see Section 5).

  • Running and securing the Website: Legitimate interests (operation, security, fraud prevention).

  • Analytics (where enabled): Consent (non-essential cookies).

  • Marketing to existing customers about similar services: Legitimate interests (you can opt out any time).

  • Running BBN membership: Contract (to deliver membership) and Legitimate interests (admin and service improvement).

  • Vetting BBN applications: Legitimate interests (to maintain a relevant, high-trust network).

  • BBN member directory (opt-in): Consent (your listing is optional; you control what you share).

  • Introductions within BBN: Legitimate interests and/or Contract (facilitating the network as part of membership). You can ask us not to make introductions.

  • Legal, compliance, tax and accounting: Legal obligation.

4) Marketing preferences

  • Updates and member briefing: sent only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe via the link in any email or by emailing us.

  • Existing customers: we may contact you about similar products or services. You can opt out at any time.

  • BBN member communications: if you are a BBN member, we will send service communications needed to deliver the membership (for example member updates and event information). You may be able to opt out of non-essential messages.

5) Dietary and accessibility information (special category data)

If you provide dietary requirements or accessibility needs for an event, this may reveal health-related information. We only use it to accommodate you and only with your explicit consent.

  • Retention: deleted within 60 days after the event unless needed longer for safety or legal claims.

  • Optional: you do not have to provide this information.

6) Who we share data with

We use trusted service providers to run the Website, deliver emails, administer BBN and process payments. Some providers act as processors under our instructions; others (especially payment providers) may act as independent controllers with their own privacy notices.

Service providers may include:

  • Website platform and hosting: Framer

  • Forms, serverless functions and hosting infrastructure: Netlify

  • Email and member briefing: beehiiv

  • Ticketing: Ticket Tailor

  • Card payments: Stripe

  • Bitcoin payments (where offered): CoinCorner

  • BBN admin and forms: Airtable

  • Automation and workflows: Make

  • Business email and internal docs: Google Workspace

  • Analytics: Google Analytics

  • Embeds and third-party media: where you play embedded content (for example YouTube, Spotify or Apple Podcasts), those platforms may collect data under their own policies

BBN directory visibility (opt-in):

  • If you opt into the BBN directory, the information you choose to share in your listing will be visible to all BBN members.

  • You control what fields appear in your listing and you can update or remove your listing.

We may also disclose personal data where required by law, to establish or defend legal claims, or in connection with a corporate transaction.

7) International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy regulations or UK-approved contractual protections (including the UK International Data Transfer Addendum) and, where required, additional measures.

8) How long we keep your data

We keep data only as long as necessary for the purpose collected:

  • Enquiries: typically up to 24 months after last contact.

  • Updates and member briefing: until you unsubscribe; we may keep a suppression record to respect your preferences.

  • Event purchases and transactions: typically 6 years from the end of the financial year (tax and accounting).

  • Dietary and accessibility: typically 60 days after the event (see Section 5).

  • Analytics: up to 14 months (as configured).

  • Website logs and security: typically up to 12 months unless needed for investigation.

  • BBN membership records: for the duration of membership and typically 6 years thereafter (tax, accounting and legal claims).

  • BBN directory listing (opt-in): until you remove it or your membership ends.

  • Introductions and history: typically up to 24 months unless needed for network administration or legal claims.

9) Your rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability (where applicable), and to withdraw consent at any time.

If you have concerns, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). We would appreciate the opportunity to resolve concerns directly first.

10) Cookies

We use essential cookies to make the Website work. We may use non-essential cookies (for example analytics and embedded media) only with your consent.
